About our shop

KC Martin is about serving you for the long haul!

KC Martin has been fixing cars in Lynnwood since 1948. Families have been bringing us their cars for generations, and that only happens when a shop does right by people year after year.

Our story

Generations of service

The mural on the side of the KC Martin shop: cars from 1948, 1968 and 1988 to today under the words K.C. Martin, Since 1948

If you've lived around Lynnwood or Edmonds for a good part of your life, there's a fair chance we worked on your parents' cars, and maybe your grandparents' too. Since 1948 we've been the mechanic local families count on to keep their cars running longer and stronger.

A lot has changed under the hood since then. The way we work hasn't. Our goal is to do the best we can for you and your car every time, and to keep you informed about what it needs and when it needs it. A good mechanic saves you money over time. We'd rather be the advisor who keeps your business by proving it than the shop that sells you the most today.

That's what "Generations of Service" means to us. New customers have a habit of becoming lifelong ones.

  • Careful diagnosis before any work starts
  • Only the repairs you need, explained in plain language
  • A report on the whole car at every visit
  • Repairs done to stay fixed

What we work on

Cars, trucks and diesels, any make or model. Our technicians handle the everyday jobs, like oil changes, brakes and alignments, and the harder ones, like electrical diagnosis and engine work.

We're also the shop a lot of people around here think of for drivetrain work. Automatic and manual transmissions, clutches, differentials and the parts that connect them are all handled here at the Lynnwood shop.

And because we've been at it since 1948, older cars feel right at home. If you have a classic or a vintage vehicle, see our classic vehicles page.
